Name: Ironshot
Gender: Male
Faction: Autobot
Rank: Private: first class
Function: siege
Subgroup Assault
Quote:
“The only good Decepticon is an immobile Decepticon”
Alt-mode:
Cybertronian hover tank
Weaponry:
Hover tank: 500mm energon shock cannon, 2x SAM launchers
Robot: 2x 250mm heavy energon shock rifles, 2x SAM launchers
(Special) Abilities:
can hover/glide in both modes
Skills:
mainly provides heavy assault support though better suited to bombarding fortified positions
Appearance:
Hover tank: A pure white ovoid with ovoid shaped weapons
Robot: Pure white armor plates with a smooth surface texture covering ‘exposed’ wires of a golden color. Twin ovoid shaped ‘backpacks’ conceal the functional aspects of the SAM launchers while the rifles are built into the arms.
Personality:
Strongly militaristic, he will do his best at any task assigned to him while preferring to be on the front lines where the more dedicated combat types belong. His biggest weakness is likely his tendency to chase down opportunities for combat when they show up.
Background:
Ironshot started out as a common Autobot warrior in the early days of the Great War. His militaristic personality combined with skills that leaned towards heavy weaponry quickly placed him with the Assault team with a first alternate form of hover tank. Over the following decades, Ironshot developed a reputation for heavy weapons that equaled Ironhide. Despite this, or perhaps as a counterbalance, he also developed a reputation for recklessness when engaging both Decepticons and other foes outside of a siege setting. Currently he fights boredom by looking for a chance to join the expeditions that occasionally deal with Decepticon piracy. His chances seem slim however as he is ill suited to non atmospheric combat. (Too much recoil without gravity providing a form of traction.) When he can find a safe place to do so, he also practices refining his precision as even when non atmospheric combat takes place inside a ship, hitting the outer hull can cause problems... as would hitting the engines or other key components.
Strengths:
good at causing massive damage to enemy possessions. His specialty is destroying fortifications. Strengths include high damage output and decent accuracy (separate from precision unfortunately) Usually follows orders. Best performance area is laying siege to enemy strongholds.
Weaknesses:
Bad at avoiding collateral damage. Weaknesses include poor melee ability and low precision (even if the attack is off by a few yards the proper target can still get hit)Tends to chase down known enemies until the enemy is unable to pose a threat of ANY kind. Lacking performance areas would be diplomacy and pretty much anything else that doesn‘t involve blowing up high durability targets.
Picture(s): None at the moment. Thanks ahead of time if anyone feels like creating some for me:)
note: I'm aware the background may seem a little short, but I feel the content is fairly complete and would appreciate tips on how I might be able to expand it other than switching to Decepticon which might not work anyways.
